UAE Update: Overpumping in Downtown Dubai

WJ Groundwater is currently undertaking a large-scale sewage-overpumping project to facilitate the upgrading of existing substructures in Downtown Dubai. The excavations are taking place close to the famous Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

The works are being completed for Dutco Balfour Beatty on behalf of their client Emaar Properties PJSC. WJ has mobilised and installed two large capacity sewage diesel pumps and all the pipework needed for pumping over 2,700m3 of sewage or water per hour.

WJ Groundwater has been selected for this project because we provide a complete installation and operation solution, exemplary knowledge and a great track record with successful similar projects in that past, all at a very competitive price.  WJ Groundwater operatives first installed all the 500m of 400mm diameter HDPE suction and discharge lines, the two pumps, as well as monitoring and maintaining the water levels and ensuring the smooth operation of the WJ pumps.

“We are extremely proud to be working with our partners on yet another high-profile overpumping project here in Dubai. As our reputation continues to grow in the region, we will continue to provide an industry leading service we can all be proud of,” said Ollie Vincent, General Manager, WJ Groundwater in Dubai.
