Safety First, Safety Always!

At WJ Middle East, safety always comes first. It is WJ’s responsibility to make sure that all its employees go home to their families safely.

WJ’s QHSE Officer, Avtar Shelly is committed and responsible for conducting appropriate HSE training and drills. This is mainly important, as injuries often occur when employees perform duties that they aren’t prepared, trained or inducted for.

Staff are given a health and safety briefingSome of the HSE training & drills completed are:

  • Confined Space Training
  • First Aid
  • Working at Height
  • Heat Stress Awareness
  • Spillage Drills
  • Emergency Mock Drills
  • Fire Drills

Health, Safety and Environmental training is vitally important to prevent any potential hazard or workplace accidents, and also helps to keep people healthy, engaged and motivated whilst at work.

WJ strongly believes that if a company has a good HSE training program and the employees have thorough knowledge of it, a positive health and safety environment will be sustained.
