Upgrade works for the temporary sewage bypass project
Description:
As a trusted supplier for sewage and stormwater bypass and over pumping services in the Middle East, it’s not uncommon for clients to contact WJ Middle East when regular upgrade works are required. On this occasion, the ADSSC (Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company) contacted us to assist with the required works for a temporary sewage bypass in the Al Samha region.
To complete these works effectively, WJ bypassed two main inflow networks to the pumping station by using a combination of high capacity diesel, and submersible pumps. The flow was controlled in the range of 500-1000m3/hr to provide a sufficient and safe solution for the client.
WJ used up to 100m (linear distance) of temporary, but robust, HDPE discharge lines to successfully divert the flow with no impact to the main network and surrounding residential areas. Using HDPE lines as opposed to layflat hoses means a reduction in friction, and therefore reduces fuel consumption meaning smaller pumps can be used.
